Small Group IGCSE Revision

Small group revision

Small group IGCSE revision when students have similar needs

Small group revision can be useful and more affordable, but only when the group is academically sensible. We consider it when students have a similar subject, exam board, level, timeline and availability.

Same subject

Students should be preparing for the same subject area, such as Maths, Physics or English ESL.

Similar level

The group should not mix students with completely different foundations or target grades.

Shared timeline

Groups work best around a similar mock or final exam window.

Clear boundaries

Group teaching cannot replace highly personalised one-to-one support for every student.

When a group may be offered

We will not place a student into a group simply because it is cheaper. Suitability comes first.

QuestionWhat we check
Can the student benefit from shared teaching? The student can follow group pace and complete independent practice.
Is the cohort similar enough?Subject, exam board, level, language needs and exam timeline are reasonably aligned.
Is one-to-one better? If the student needs intensive diagnosis, major foundation repair or personalised writing feedback, one-to-one may be better.
What if no group is available? We may suggest mock marking, a planning call, a waitlist or one-to-one support instead.
Pricing note: small group revision may start from a lower per-student price when a suitable cohort exists, but timing, scope and final price are confirmed before payment.
